How much of a PITA is it to change out these bushings? Half of mine are smashed looking and some aren't stiting where they should. Is it a fight every step of the way, just doing one at a time? HOw hard is it to replace? Pressed in?

The first one of both will always take the longest.
I had rented the ball joint press and bushing strike(put this inside the press, and with impact gun it goes at a steady pace)-for taking out the metal insert of the rubber bushing.
Then use a mapp gas torch to remove the rubber bushings, they will slide right out.

It's been a very long time sense we have done bushings on your year trucks so I can't remember the details but on the newer trucks the lowers are not that bad but the first time is tricky finding the sweat spot on how to tackle it. On the uppers we never swap the OE control arm bushings because it would be about the same in parts and labor just about than just buying the upgraded UCA.

My post doesn't really help you because I don't believe there is a upgraded UCA for your year truck, but I thought I would at least write what we do.

Good luck.
