You have to set parameters.
How are you using it:
Super economy and diy fuel
Weekend put put truck or tow heavy all the time or Moderate hot rod truck
Slow off roading frequently or all highway use
Economy- want to spend little as possible long term or want the most reliability and happy to invest a lot now to do it.
Like things stock as possible or live to modify
What are your mechanical skills and budget.

How I build my 6.5 is completely different than others. There are guys that do not bat an eye at investing $20,000 into a 6.5. There are guys that hate to spend $20.

Fluid dampener, epoxy enjun mountings, ak dieseldriver electric/viscous fan conversion. Champion radiator with Twistedsteel performance coolant coating. Balanced flow coolant pump with restricted bypass fitting.
Leroy Diesel lift pump relay harness mod with the press to turn on primer button and I know I’m falling short about a dozen other items but I am sure that someone will be happy to fill in the blanks. LOL

Ceramic coated bearings
Gapless rings
TSP Girdle
Balanced rotating assembly
Fluidampr & billet pulley
18.5:1 pistons
Proper turbo
4” exhaust
Balanced flow waterpump & system.

Add temp gauge sourced at the right rear head.
Add fuel pressure gauge sourced at the ip inlet.
Clear line for the ip return fuel line

Definitely forgetting stuff, but that is w good start
