Little back ground: Truck runs great, no problems starting or stalling, doesn't smoke more then 20-30 seconds on a cold start up.
I have replace the alt. (died), harmonic balancer and pulley.

The noise I'm hearing has a hollow sound, seems to be coming from the front of the motor twords the power steering pump, also seem to be getting some vibration on the power steering pump mounting bracket but no were else on the motor, this is driving me crazy :mad2:

I am post a video on youtube (link below) hopefully someone with a trained ear can possibly point me in the right general direction.

Thanks in advance,

I was able to diagnose early stage failure of the idler pulley on my wife's Mercedes over the cell phone this AM, but your truck sounds pretty normal on this audio.

take off the belt and see if it sounds the same

2x

See if you can isolate the noise. Take the belt off and run it for a short period, see if the noise goes away.

Put your hands on every pulley and give them a spin, see how the feel.

I have had a horrible time with alternator bearings.
