i agree with both of the above. i want one and need bigger pics.

Damn, if you lived out here on Long Island, I'd say I just saw you the other day. There was a guy driving one around out here, everyone was looking at as he drove by.

Def. baddass!!

There are quite a few of those rolling around here. They are real popular with the potato and onion farmers for hauling the bins to and from the fields. There is a farm with at least a dozen of those just a mile from my house.

All the above are true, but they were governed to 50 mph when I was in the service. Insofar as the Cummins conversion, I wouldn't worry about that as much as a 24 volt to 12 volt conversion. The military prefers 24 volt systems on nearly everything that rolls.

Bigger pics are in album better quality too. You can get a cummins in the 5 tons. The herculees is very stout though turned up the fuel valve and it smokes alot but makes great torque and good excelleration for as big as it is. 24 volt isn't a problem the batteries went dead and we had to do was hook my welder to it for a quik zap and she started right up. Maybe not the safest but it works. 921500Z71 my buddy back home will be takeing it to the races this weekend possibly to pull people out of the mud so you should have some good pics of her doin her thing. They are fairly easy to get me and my dad buy the ones that are jacked up and ugly then rebuild them, we have a retired army mech rebuild the motors and such and on the shelve iin the barn we have at least 1 of every part for these old monsters so the cost to keep them running is fairly low. We just got one with a white motor in it , it will be rebuilt and sold. I can't discuss how much we paid but I can tell you how much we sell them for.

for any one that was an E-4, driving one of these daily, it's no secret.

True my dad was a tanker in Nam did 3 tours with the 11th ACR you may notice the numbers on the duece and a half. BUt does anyone know how much this thing weighs?

Small world, I was a tanker with the Big Red One. Not during Viet Nam though. You should be able to get a hold of the operator's manual. It will give you all the specifics that you need, along with maintenance specs.
