Turbo oil feed line?

Crimping as in bending to the point of visible abnormality (twisted or kinked)?

To effect repairs, it depends on the material of the hose inside the stainless braide...oil-rated rubber or the hydraulic PTFE

I bogarted the fitting on my SAE 100R14 type A hydraulic hose (Stainless braid over polytetraflourethyline (PTFE) inner tubing) that resulted in a slow oil drip (self induced...long side track story). My initial attempt to 'fix it' didn't, rather, made it worse. Since there was sufficient length, I had a local hose shop replace the fitting (correctly) and marched on. I've also replaced the AN fittings (not hydraulic, oil rated rubber hose) on the current stainless set up when making adjustments to length/routing etc. I was successful with the latter hose.

Are you looking to replace the whole line or preserve what you have and make repairs at the fitting?
For a new line, I took the OEM line in to the shop to have the hydraulic line made up/repaired (6.2 vs 6.5 block differences...different length hose).
For repairs, if you've got the PTFE inner hose, I'd take it to a shop as my attempt to use AN fittings on that 'plastic' didn't take and the temp repair was less than 'aesthetically pleasing' but it got me home.

If you're going for a splice, with our without the PTFE, I used a 3/8" brass double male fitting and hose clamps to effect a repair of my PTFE to keep me rolling homeward. Worked fine
