I have a 96 Suburban C2500. PMD in the bumper, 4" diamond eye exhaust, Heath turbomaster. It was running fine buck down on power and some good white smoke on startup. I got some new injectors from Moneyslave on ebay (HE IS THE BEST!) and was getting ready to swap them. I sprayed the driver side with some Gibbs penetrating oil and drove it about 15 miles with no issue. When I went to drive it today it started a little hard and then idled ok. It then started getting rough. I thought it might clear out after driving so I tried. It was bucking and surging and blowing black smoke when it surged. I only went about 1/4 mile and turned around. It bucked and surged it's way back. It idles choppy and if you try to accelerate it will stumble and then surge and blow black smoke. Any ideas? Lift Pump? Fuel Filter (it's not that old but I was going to change it)...

My first thought is pmd. But also might be air. put a piece of clear tubing on the return coming out of the IP and check for bubbles

I'll give that I shot. I have been having trouble with my PMD extension cable from Pensacola so I swapped it with one from PMDCables. It rand fine the first day after the swap. I wonder if it went bad. I'll switch it back and see.

Well, I went out and started it again. It ran fine. I opened the fuel petcock and diesel came out with a nice steady stream. It looks like there are lots of tiny little bubbles suspended in it. It could be coincidence but it seems like as soon as I shut the petcock it started running real crappy again. I'm going to try a link to a short video of how it runs... Thanks
