I towed my boat for the first time this past spring break over some passes and steep grades.

I need a review from you guys to see how it did:
The boat and trailer probably weigh 4K all together
Vantage Hill, WA 6-8% grade for 10 miles

I can go up at 60-64MPH at 2200-2400 RPMS (4:10 Rear End in 5th Gear)
10-13PSI Boost
850-950EGT
Stuck at 210F in some parts its starts sitting a tad on the hotter side of the 210 notch
-I have the heater on HIGH AND HOT (Trick learned from towing with Jeep.)

OR

55 MPH 2600-2700RPMS (4th Gear)
10-13 PSI
800EGT
Roughly same heat..although can sit on the cooler side of 210

I BELIEVE I HAVE 195 Stat

So howd it do?
I want to know so I can go ahead with projects lined up:
-Hi Flow Water Pump
-New Thermostat
-Clean Rad
-Crossover Pipe
-Take out SOOT TRAP

:iagree:
You maintained a good speed and CT was the only problem. The mods or maintenance you list will address that.

I think you did just fine. First thing I would do is pull the radiator, get it up on sawhorses, and clean the ever-living daylights out of it. Jim suggests "Scrubbing Bubbles Bath Cleaner". I used "Simple Green" at nearly full-strength, and a garden hose. You won't believe how much glop comes out.
