I'm going to start using my truck to pull a 2 car gooseneck 5 days a week. Getting a Duramax soon but for now it's what i have and i might as well use it. I have all the mods in my sig and am getting a GL4. My problem is i'm constantly running into high iat's and it's defueling my engine. What's the best way to go about it? I dont thing the gl4 would be a fix for that.

I was thinking you should get the towing program instead of the GL4 but I looked at Heath's web site and I'm not sure they offer it any more. I believe the GLE would do a better job than the GL4 at keeping IAT's down, might be worth a call to Heath to discuss.

Welcome to workin full time with your 6.5!!!!

If I were you towing that I would get the A-Team turbo ASAP.

You may like it enough to keep using it instead of that humungous duramax payment(s)... don't forget, new trucks break down too.

I would have to be trying hard to see my IATs over 1000 deg. post turbo since I've had Heath's EPROM and turbomaster. I tow heavy when I tow. You'll be surprised, I think. It will run more efficient and the pyro won't see high temps like it used to.

Hey Ryan hopefully this was a typo, you mean EGT over 1000 ???, I don't think I want to be around something with IAT of 1000F in a 6.5, only thing like that I've been around with that high a IAT has been final stage of multi stage axial flow jet engines compressor.

You only pushing 8psi boost and having high IATs? Are you seeing that on a scanner?

X2 with Buddy on ???

You need to verify the temp/other parameters on a scanner, 8psi should not be too high an IAT, GM turbos don't start to build a lot of IAT until 10+ psi on a hot day, look at the data on the ATT thread where I posted several GM-8 data points. May be a bad IAT sensor IF that is what is triggering the defuel

WHOA!!

Nice catch, bro! Yeah, I meant EGT.

IAT at 1000 deg - can you say nuclear? LOL
