Just purchased an '96 2500 Ram with a cummins in it. SLT Laramie. The difference between that & my '95 gasser with the same option SLT Laramie is that the diesel doesn't have the outside air temperature & fuel calculator on the headliner, it is just a pocket for storage. Was it not available for the '96 diesel? Or is it not just not there as an option? If that is the case can it be relocated from the gasser to the diesel & if so what do I change or need to have it work in the diesel? Thanks

Not sure if it was an option on it.

The 12V diesel uses all mechancal fuel injection, no electronics, so I don't recall them having the fuel economy function.

As for the outside temp, that's nothing but a sensor that sits next to the driver side headlamp.

Without the over head computer, it's most likely not there.
