Trailer Brake Adjustment

Are electric trailer brakes self adjusting or should they be done manually on a weekly or monthly basis depending on how often the trailer is used? Southwest Express Lines Enclosed 7 X 16 trailer with 3000# axles used everyday for Landscaping hauling about 2500# of equipment! Thanks for ALL replies. Keith

There should be an adjuster in there just like the old days with a dust covered slot. Hope you didn't throw out your brake spoon...):h

Goog luck. It should adjust just like any other drum brake. Bring it out until it starts to drag heavy then back in about 3 notches or so.
