here are a couple pic of the custom rear bumper i made for my truck

it fits all the stuff i had rolling around in the bed like chains ratchet straps my jack a shovle a sledge and a few other things

on the back there is a 6x6 by 1/2in angle welded off solid and that is what my reciever is welded to, that is attaced to the frame mounts by a 1/2in plate gusset. Has held up to all the weight i have put behind her used the reciever to pull a 2wd ford dually that was burried to the axles in the sand out and a 4x4 trail blazer that was up to the doors in the sand dumb people thinking they can drive in the sand

It looks heavy. About how much do you think it weighs? And I dont imagine that any car could stand a chance against that if you get rear ended.

thanks guys been thinkin bout getin a patten for it and makeing and selling them but i made it at work and i dont think they would like me makin stuff and sellin it using there exuipmant and them not making any money off the deal but one day i will have the exuipment of my own and make them

i figure it ways 250 or so its all 1/4in tread plate im ganna get it blasted and have bed liner put on it and below the trim on the truck after the body work gets dun

as far as getting rear ended i dotn worry bout it anymore unless its a truck that sits higher than mine :D cars dont stand a chance my gf backed it into a power pole and it didnt do a thing i use it to push stuff all the time even tried to push a tree down didnt work out tho trees to strong yet its diein though

iv been needing to get a light on it although my old bumper the light didnt work and i never got stoped but i dont want that to be another reason to get pulled over if i been out partyin
i been held up on the light cause i cant find what i want and i dont want to have a wire inside that could get cut by the stuff i keep inthere so got to cum up with a way to keep it safe and a light that dont stick out and wont getbroke when i push stuff around with it

You also have the trailer hitch welded on there, is that just as sturdy as the hitches attached to the frame behind the bumper?

That is really cool though, I want one.

my old luvern step bumber was rated to 10000# which is for sale kinda beat up but its still a nice bumper. and this one uses the same mounting holes the weakest link in the whole thing would be the grade 5 bolts i used to bolt it to the frame been meaning to change them out with grade 8 but like alot of stuff aint got around to it

not sure what the material would cost my boss let me have it for free :D:D

Perfect solution for people that need bed space, so a guy could get a short bed and bumper box instead of the long bed and bed box. Pays for itself. Or just actually get the use of the long bed, unlike me with my 50 gallon aux tank and box in there.

I would still buy this bumper box with my tool box already there.
