Anyone using one of those wireless tire monitors on their RV,5er or Dually? Was looking at them a bit perhaps for a better sense of security going down the road. And yes I do check my pressure, but have still had blow-outs.Not sure if this would prevent it but maybe it would be nice to know what was going on-especially when the load is 12k plus.I was over at RV net but that place is so busy it keeps kicking me off wtf!Any info would be appreciated

Well I bought it!Its made by Saf-tee corp. They had some probems in the past with getting product out but never had any quality issues. The system cost around 500bucks and not only monitors tire pressure but also temperature of tires.I am a paranoid kinda guy so it will help ease my mind and its a great piece of mind for the safety of the family.I bought the set that monitors 10 tires.Other units out there are a couple hundred more then this one but do not have the added tmp feature which I like.

Let us know how that system works out for you. Can you set your own pressure and temperature for the alarm?

I like the idea of being able to monitor tire pressures and temperatures, but I hate the Gestapo-like system that GM is installing in the new trucks where you have no control over what pressure the alarm goes off at, unless you pay the dealer to change it.

Please, post some pictures when you get it installed.

Yes you can create your own parameters (pressure and temp set-points) these fit on the end of the valve stems as well so very easy to use, just gotta be careful not to leave too long in a parking lot or somewhere were people may rip them off. They have tamper collars you can put on.But really the places I go to I don't think this is going to be an issue.
