Time the old girl gets new tires. I'm going to be upsizing to 265's from the current 245's. Who's running what around here and how do you like it? I hear alot of good about the michalins(did I spell that right?).

BFG AT KOs. Excellent all around on and off road tire. Outstanding in snow too. Around $200/corner mounted and balanced (with an alignment about $900 out the door). 60 to 75k miles life if they're rotated at 12k to 15k.

Nitto Terra Grapplers are about $600 for the set but I have been told the wear quickly. I have minimal miles on mine and am very happy with thier performance. On my good truck I have Bridgestone Dueler Revo's. Im not sure on the cost in a 16" tire but I like them a lot. The thing I don't like about BF Goodrich is all the rocks they throw in the air when driving on gravel. Otherwise as said above, they are another great choice.

Throwing this out as I am in need of tires soon as well, BUT my truck it 2WD so I dont need the same tires as a 4WD. Suggestions would also be appreciated here as well.
Would the 265 be needed for my application?

Just to clarify the C series is 2wd. I do take dirt roads here and there but my main driving is most stop and go. Not alot of highway these days.

I take it back then. If not 4WD then the BFG ATs aren't for you and I also forgot to mention that they aren't the right tires to run on gravel either like Opie said.

Good point. There are a few places I visit or take often that have gravel and rock for either a driveway or even a parking lot in general. I don't need to be hurling rocks all over the place.

I like the look of the white lettering you see on alot of the MT's. I found a set of Mickeys come to think of it that where 265's somewhere and can't seem to find them again. They where under $100 a piece IIRC

When I was researching the one I picked was the BFG Long Trails, but I couldnt afford them at the time and got some cheap Nexxen tires for like $110 each mounted.

I put Michelin LTX M/S tires on my wife's 2500 Suburban about 5 months ago, so far they have been really good. We have had some really bad weather (snow and ice) in early Feb. and they had no problem whatsoever.

If I can't find some half descent 255/85/16s for my dually, I will be putting on the Michelin tires in 235/85/16.

I would definately get 235/85 16 if your rims are narrow enough. My problem was I had 15" wheels and couldnt find a dang set of 16" 5x5" lug rims that are only 7" wide. Since the speedo probably is wrong it can be adjusted by changing some soldered jumpers on the VSSB module on 6.5 engines.

Yeah, that's kinda my problem. I am looking for something less aggressive than what you usually find in a 255/85/16. BFG has those swapper looking things. I think Dunlop has a set of A/Ts that I will be looking at if I can find them...I think they are called Duravis...or something..v-i-s.

Well that's good to hear!!! I can or rather my wife, can look forward to a long relationship with her Michelins....
