Drove to work yesterday. The truck ran great. When I got off work I fired it up it ran like it had a miss:eek:. Shut it down check to make sure all wires to the glow plugs where still on they where. Fired it up again ran the same. I figured I would drive it and hopefully that cylinder would kick in. well it didn't. Pulled over popped the hood opened the drain valve truck died. I grabbed the lift pump fuse. Touched to 12v felt the pumps vibe. Tried to fire it up wouldn't start. Primed the lift pump again then it fired still running the same. I the unplugged the oil preasure switch cut a piece wire from my amp.. Stripped the wire crossed the plug lift pump started working. Drove the truck no change. I stopped by a BMW perf. shop asked to use a 19mm wrench. I started cracking the injector lines all but the 2 under the turbo. Thinking air in one off the lines. The truck still running the same:nonod:. I decided to continue to drive the truck noticing some black smoke when i got on it. I got to thinking a injector might be stuck open. I then got on the HWY. The truck started running smother aroud 55mph. The died. I coasted to the side of the HWY. Tried to start the truck it wouldn't turn over. I figured it filled a cylinder with fuel and locked it. When we went to tow it I noticed fuel leaking from the drivers side of the block. Hopefully nothings hurt. Looking for new injectors to install.

I got a really good deal on injectors from Accuratediesel. Usually get grey smoke from bad injector not black. Black is usually not enough air(boost, air filter etc). Fuel leaking form the side of hte block could be an injector line or return hose. If you locked the motor with fuel most likely you will have fuel in the motor oil.

Heath Diesel for injectors.

However, if it's got fuel leaking externally, either an injector has come apart or you have issues elsewhere.

If you bypass the OPS the LP wont ever turn off because its hot all the time. Make sure to undo that. You can see if your OPS is working, when wired correctly, if there is 14V on pin G (bottom left) of the OBD1 port when the truck is running.

If your truck dies when you open your t valve it wouldn't be your injectors causing it to die. Even if your LP hums and has proper voltage doesn't mean it works. I am leaning toward the LP or ops. How old are they or when were they last replaced?

x2, DO the diagnostic checklist so we can help you better.

Humming LP does not mean it is working!!! You have to measure the pressure at t-valve. Check that first.

Could have gotten dirt in one of the injectors also causing the miss. Must be kept very clean. Might have two issues. Sovle the fuel pressure one first and if still missing then you need to kill the cylinders you couldn't reach. Maybe someone near you has GMTDScan. As you are OBD1 GMTDScan has a nice cylinder kill feature. No need to crack inj lines, can do it form the keyboard to find your miss.
