There is a boot on the passengers side tie rod, it has slop and I need to fix it. I want to go with the Cognito HD tie rods and I need a quote. I understand there is a special tool for the tie rods too. Thanks for any help you can give.

The tool is commonly called a "pickle fork" Mick. Tie rod or ball joint separator is more correct. You can't remove a tie rod without one.

Pickle forks I have, the service station said that it took some other tool that they would sell me for $100. I think I smell a rat.

By the way, the boot I'm talking about is not on the tie rod end, its on the other end. I have not pulled it apart but I ASSume that there is a union under it. My tie rod ends are actualy still good, it's just whats under the boot that is shot.

Tell them you wanna See it before you Buy it.

All you need, Tool Wise, to Change Tie Rods is Wrenches, Sockets, and Pickle Fork.

Sorry I had not read this:frown5:
