tie rod ends

Pull the cotter pin, remove the castellated nut, slide a pickle fork in between the boot and arm and beat on it with a BFH until it comes apart. Repeat for the other end. Loosen the clamp with the rod in a vise and unscrew the ends. First get a good measure of how far the old ones are screwed in and do the same for the replacements. Once done get an alignment right away.
