hello, I have a chevy suburban 6.5 turbo diesel 1995. the last 2 weeks appear in the dashboard "throttle service soon". I can't accelerate no more.I have to cut the engine and start again and everything is normale again. is there somebody who can tell me what I have to do? I live in belgium and no garage knows these cars. my other 2 cars are no problem to work on it: a ford mustang 289 coupe 1968 and a ford ranchero 350GT 1972. easy with no electronics. ciao pascal , kortrijk belgium.

Most likely your APPS, accelerator pedal postion sensor has failed. It doesn't happen very often unless moisture gets in it(like from a leaking windshield running water down behind the dash). For a 95 it is the whole throttle pedal assembly. I just checked and the GM part number for it is 15751307 and the AC DELCO number is 213-2820. Not sure what the exchange rate is, but amazon has it for $194.64 US. Unplug the connector at teh throttle pedal and check it for corrosion or poor conenction first, but if that checks out then you probably need a new pedal assembly.

And welcome to thetruckstop.

hello, thanks for the reply,I check it tomorrow, just finished my shift in my bike shop.it is something else working on aprilia, ducati and moto guzzi compared a big V8 engine. can you give me a website where I can order parts for suburban? ciao pascal

Rockauto is pretty good for looking up part numbers, and there prices can be pretty good to. Once you have the part number you can google it as sometimes AMAZON has them for ALOT less money directly from AC DELCO.
