Three pod A pillar

I bought a 3 pod A pillar mount and it seems to snap over the factory plastic cover on the pillar.
My concern is it looks like there is no room for gauge wires or tube for boost gauge. Does one cut out the
factory plastic?

Drill large enough holes to run items inside pillar? Use screws to hold onto pillar?

Thanks for the advise on the matter. I have a ATT ready to ship this week and will post results.

I cut hole in my exsisting pillar trim. I think you have to somewhere to get "in under the dash" at least if you have several wires to get through .

You can screw it or might try a plastic rivet or trim rivet if you want to secure it more.
 
I didn't have to cut the oem trim. There was enough gap where the dash meets the firewall by the fusebox cover. I sent the power in the fusebox and used a tapafuse. I used a plastic trim tool to push the boost tube, wire and thermocouple wire in the gap. Really tight fit and was cafeful not to crush pinch anything. The pillar cover came with trim rivits and if I had to redo, I would tape the pillar in place till all wiring is verified working ect as there were issues with trans temp sender wire. Went through extra rivits. Sorry I have no pics of that yet, as truck keeps me busy fixing leaks. That boost bolt Leroy sells is great.
 
I cut holes in the stock pillar cap to correspond to the gauge location in the pod. This way I could access the back of the gauge for wiring and making sure the gauge was fastened in securely.

I used JB Weld epoxy to secure the pod to the stock pillar cap. I guess I'm picky, but I didn't like the idea of screw heads being visible on the pod.
