My new Dodge sits alot higher than my Tahoe did. I dropped the head down as low as it would go on the reciever. Think I'll be ok ? I know I should probably get a longer reciever but we are leaving today and nothing around here is open.

From the picture it looks like the front of the trailer need to go down some, but I am no expert.

I have always heard that the trailer should try and sit level.

How long is the trailer, Kenny? (if it's 24' or more, you'll probably be OK at that angle).

High attack angles put more stress on the rear wheels in the tandem, causing undue tire wear and some handling issues, especially on rough roads. Shorter trailers mean greater tilt and less distribution when it's not level.

Not bad for shorter trips, but if you're going on a longer one, I would get a new drop fairly soon. You really want things to be flat - makes your tandems and equalizer hitch work the way they were designed to.

It's a 26ft. It definiteley needs to come down a little, but i'll need a different receiver which I can't get for this weekend so hopefully will be ok.
Thanks.
