Gonna be pulling the tranny from my truck and was wondering what should be done while its out? I already plan on upgrading the transmission and obviously gonna change out the seals on the output shafts on the t case.

Im thinking rear main seal replacement would be a given but what about the oil pan gasket? Can i drop the oil pan far enough for room to put in a new gasket? How about some rtv silicone for the oil pan instead of a gasket.

Maybe I should just pull the motor same time with tranny and then change oil pan gasket along with some thicker gaskets and head studs? hehe
