Not really, she don't owe me nothing. It was 26ºF this morning and she didn't want to start. Only times she's failed to start before were LP or bad batteries. I knew it was glow plugs, I checked the five easy to get to ones, three on drivers side were bad.

Who would have thunk it, there only 18 years old with 350k on the original 9G's. The passenger side ones I replaced about ten years ago @ 200k when I had the heads off, but the drivers side I reinstalled since they all tested good and were easy to change out later.

Here's a pic, all three had a slight bubble, but they came out easy. Can you still get the 9G's, I stuck some 60G's in there today?

Wow, and they came out without a story.... unbelieveable.... They look better than my 1 year old ones!

I sprayed the grease off with carb cleaner so I could find the numbers.

I put anti-seize on the threads when I had them out before, so they unthreaded easy, I had to play with one to get it all the way out for a min or so, but no vice-grips required.

There is still five in there, so there my be a story later(to be continued). What plug were they using ten years ago, 9G, 11G or 60G, when I replaced the passenger side ones.

Thinking about going back with 9G or 11G if they still make them, that truck always started good with those.

I may even replace the injectors while I'm in the passenger side. Kinda hate to, I might let the magic smoke out.

In 94 they switched to the 11G's but some of the 9G's were still in use on up to at least 95(my 6.5 was built in 95 and had 9G's in it). The 60G's came out in 97 I believe and have been the replacement since. You can still find some 11G's on Ebay from time to time. The 60G's really need more glow time than the early glow controllers provide though.

Yea, I have 60G's in my 93 and 94 now, but dont like how they start. I put a manual overide on the 94 for a little more heat time.

I bought some Bosch Duraterms for the 93 and 94 but haven't had time to put them in yet. Just thought about putting 9G's back in the 92 since they worked good in it for so long.
