Well I always wondered if Mobil Delvac 1300 15w/40 and an Ac Delco filter could make it 10K so I finally went for it. This is a mix of town and highway driving with a good bit of idling time as well. I hate a getting in a cold truck. The fuel filter also went 10K. About 700 gallons of fuel went through it. Here is the oil analysis and filter pictures.

impressive. are you running any type of bypass? didn't see one listed.

That's some real impressive results Bill. That Cat filter looks awful dirty for 10k though. That's about what I've seen for 13-15k on the Racor. Maybe you just got a couple of shots of dirty stuff. What's the micron rating on that?

No bypass or extra filters at all. Just one Ac Delco PF2232.

It's a 2 micron filter.

Looks good Bill. Is that your fuel filter that you use on the engine with the Nicktane OEM replacement head? Do you run a Nicktane in the rear?

With that report and a TBN at 6.8 that oil could have gone longer, any thoughts to pushing it ?

In looking closer at the CAT fuel filter, you could have easily gone 5K more on that. So a once a year change would be fine. There is plenty left on it. I would not go to much further on the OEM oil filter only, without any bypass filtration. That is just me.

Thats 2 weeks for me! lol

I am sending in a 5K sample tomorrow on wix oil filter and 10W30 Rotella T and AC Delco Fuel. My DIC shows 40%.
Next interval I am doing T6 Rotella and same filter brands. Then moving to Amsoil if all checks out.

Bill, I'm curious as to your average speed. Total miles/hours. Since I'm at 43 mph ave for the life of my truck, I'd like to see a comparison with yours since our maint habits are similar.

As of today I am at 108,701 with 3366.5 hours. Just over 32 MPH average speed.

I can't fit the truck into the garage so it is warmed up every day. A good 10 minutes plus I would say.

That makes me feel alot more confident about the oil change interval I use then. 6 - 7.5k.
