This is the fright train, truck is on fire, blowby engine I just pulled with 94blazer's help.
Hmmm... this (pictures) is what high copper can mean along with other high metal content in an oil sample.
A member was in need of a block so I tore mine down to see if it was any good. So far the block looked ok.
I was surprised that the block was a 929 casting in a 1993. The 0.5 MM stamped on the pistons explained it quick.
The nasty leak on the front seal was from the seal being "worn out". This wear no doubt from excessive bearing clearances.
The shells are in no specific order.
This looks to be a past life construction truck with a company radio antenna and wire left over when I got it. Read high idle time and dirt roads. Dirt just caked on everything like the top of the trans and fuel tank.
Engine ran good - just lots of blowby. No doubt it would have spun a bearing in the middle of nowhere on me sometime rather soon. :skep: The cam plug in the block was also looking like it was coming out - not seated flush anymore.
Dirt on skirt is just that: shop in that corner kicks up kitty litter, etc. from airflow.
