Hey guys,

normally I would stick with looking for duramax alloys, but locally some H2 hummer rims are for sale, in good shape, for 65 bucks a pop.

my questions are:

will they fit GMT400 2 or 4wd?

what are the skinniest tires that will fit? (we have some low tread takeoffs that would work fine for trailer use)

what are the backspacing measurements? will they possibly fit a trailer?

thanks guys!

Will 265/70R17's work on these wheels?

Old school lock outs are the only way to go for those that know it's got to be a 4x4 or nothing.

I've used regular GM take-offs on my trailer. I think that Hummer wheels are only 1/2" or so different on the back spacing.

A little more info would be nice though.

that is kinda what I would like to know, as I do believe that is what we have kicking around. Dad frequents auctions, and bought them to try on some old 1500 internationals (IHC pickups were 1100, 1200, 1300, and 1500, so in their eyes 1500 was a 1.5 ton) so if he doesnt get around to it, I think this needs to be tryed out.

I feel like I am the first person that wants to put H2s on a trailer! It adds to my further insanity list of 2wd is awesome, automatics suck, rubber floors and hand cranks are superior, etc.
