Tonight I am leaving for Shediac New Brunswick for 10 days.
I have not been east since I was 12 (30 years ago) so I thought I should take the family
So I am just checking to see if I have missed any pre trip Maintenance:

New Front brakes
New Steering Box, Pittman and Idler arms
New starter and Alternator
New Lift Pump and Fuel Pump
Cleaned the Rad and removed the AC Condenser (does not work any way)
Installed the Biggest Transmission cooler I could find
That's what I have done since March

Last Week
Reconnected my Heath PMD (the place that installed the pump took it off and said there would be no warranty if I used it.... Last week it was stalling wile I was away camping)

Flushed the Cooling system and refilled with 50/50 yellow (that's what was in it) and a bottle of water wetter

New Fuel Filter (and one in the back)
New Air Filter
Oil Change Rotella 0W 40
Rebalance all the Wheals
Filled them to 80PSI
Had and Alignment
Fixed the Sirius Radio setup

Any one see any thing I missed that I could do today? I am leaving at 7:30 tonight and its 1650KM from my door to the cottages I am renting.

New Thermostat maybe. I replaced both before my 4000 mile trip. Made a huge diff. in temps along with the rad, condenser, oil and tranny cooler cleaning.

Have fun.

Check condition of spare tire and confirm the jack and associated parts are present. If you've changed out the lugs, ensure you have the right socket and security key (if any). I stopped to help a lady out with a busted tire this week and her hubby had put custom lugs on it and guess what she didn't have....
Have a great trip, enjoy the time with your family and the memories. Sounds like fun.

Check all of your battery posts and make sure they're nice and shiny (esp. if you haven't done the post mod), make sure you have some SAE 30 or fuel Additive, pack a spare fuel filter (not a lot of on-road diesel stations down there, so your chances of dirty fuel go up a bit), new wiper blades, and x2 on the tire stuff. You got AAA? You only need to use it once to pay for it.

Most important: make sure your license plate stickers aren't gonna expire before you come back. I'm crossing the border on my way home today because mine expire at midnight. Another holiday cut short because I'm stoopid...

Sheddiac is beautiful, Mike. Enjoy your holiday!

IF you don't have a fuel pressure guage perhaps blow some air into the tank via LP inlet to verify no snot on your in tank sock.....

Remember VW Lupo big adventure.

If Shediac is near Moncton take the kids to Majic Mountain. I was there last week & my kids loved it. They liked the zoo as well.
