Vehicle;

Year -1994

Type -Chev K2500 Silverado

Mileage -234,000 miles

Auto or manual-4L80E auto

4x4 or 2wd -4x4

Final gearing-4.10 with 265/75/16 tires

Average weight -about 5K+ i think, never weighed seperately, just under 12K loaded with truck loaded

Length -25ft
Height-8.5ft

Width -8ft

Geography;
I have info for only two trips with this trailer. One to the coast and one to a central OR hunting trip. Both trips have a few non-towing miles mixed in.

Flat tow - Y/N

West coast mountians - Y/N yes, home is about 230ft elevation, Hy 20 to coast is about 2000ft max and 70 miles, Hy 20 to central OR hunting area is just under 5000ft and 180 miles. The first 30 miles for each trip is flat land. The central Or trip has about 75 miles of good highway but mountainous terrain, then 3000ft + or - elevation with some easy to moderate elevation changes.

East cost Appalachain - Y/N no

High altitude - Y/N (what Heigth?) some 2-5000ft areas

Sea level - Y/N some

Additional Info;

I have info for only two trips with this trailer. One to the coast and one to central OR. Both trips have a mix of about one third flat land, one third flat to moderate climbs, and one third moderate to hard climbs. Both were in cooler fall and winter weather conditions.

My truck is set up with many similar items to your truck (see my sig). The biggest difference between the two that could impact towing is that I don't have WMI.

Feel free to chuck in any other info you feel pertinent. IE; headwinds, tailwinds, truck modifications, etc.

Miles per gallon
Low -

Average-to the coast-11.68 MPG and trip to central OR- 11.63 MPG. Both had a very small amount of non-towing miles mixed in.

I got about 11.48 imperial MPG or 9.56 US gallons. This is with a truck that weighs 1690 front wheels, 2360 rear wheels, 2290 trailer and all in Kilograms. Maybe that ATT is helping with mpg

I would look at worse of 7.5 MPG highway and 1 quart of oil every 500 miles. :eek:

Vehicle;

Year - 1993

Type - K2500 ext cab longbed.

Mileage - 125K, same results with similar truck with 174K and on fire blowby. Same results with fresh 30K mile engine.

Auto or manual- Auto

4x4 or 2wd - "K"

Final gearing- 4.10

Trailer;
24' and 28' enclosed cargo 4200 lbs dry with 2000 average load in it.

Height- 8'

Geography;
Uphill both ways.

Flat tow - Y/N Both

West coast mountians - Y

High altitude - Y/N (what Height?) Yes. Turbo runs out of air and will smoke when I get no smoke in Phoenix...

SPEED!!!
62 MPH best towing economy for my gearing as engine is around 2100 RPM.

Total weight of "cargo" affects MPG when the trailer is the same.

Turn up the boost and fuel screw 1/3 turn - gain MPH but MPG stays the same.

Same route every weekday as mods were added.

4" exhaust with 3" downpipe, no kitty factory, 3" crossover, snorkel removed. New CDR. Cooling upgrades and 180 T-Stat.

Miles per gallon / litres per 100 kms;

Low -
Towing 10% grades:
7.5 MPG

Average- There is no average.

Best -
Flat runs out west 11 MPG

Unloaded, no trailer, 15 MPG.
