I am trying to get some pre-bent stainless brake lines for my Suburban its a 97, I can get lines for a 96 Sub but the dealer says that the 97 and 96's are diffrent. Does any one know what the diffrence is? Also would the 96 set up be the same as a 95 pickup? This is with all veichles being k2500's by the way. Once I get this figured out I can do a write up with lots of pix and all lengths and sizes for both the 97 Sub and also my 95 PU that needs brake lines done also. Thanks in advance guys!

yea I called them this morning and they only make a kit that goes up to 96, thats why I am trying to figure out what the difrence is between the 96 and 97.

Interesting I called them a couple of days ago and they said that they could do a 97 suburban.

Hmm who should call them back you or I? :D

Who did you talk to nobby? I talked to Chuck. I am not going to be around today while they are open so if you get a chance that would be great, otherwise I will try to squeese a call in on monday. I am going to compair the 97 sub to my 95 truck and see what the diffrence is other than overall length. The only thing that I can think of is that the ABS unit is aranged diffrently. The axles are the same ones so you would think that they would be the same, we will see.

I spoke to a guy named James. I'll will try to call today.

96 - 97 I believe the difference is with the ABS.

My thought is this, they do show in their catalogue kits for post 97 pickups and to me the only difference between a pickup and a suburban will be the length of the rear line. All up fwd should be the same as should the axle etc. To be honest I always had the idea that a suburban frame matched one of the pickup frames for length anyways not that I can base that on anything just speculation. Seems to me that if it is just a rear line difference than that can be fairly easily adjusted by us anyways.

I spoke with a gentleman called James who was the person I spoke to first go around and whom I was told by a rep earlier in the day was the man who would know. He double checked with production and assured me that they do have the prints for the later models and they can if fact do it. I got the distinct impression that should there be issues then they will definitely work with you on it. I ordered a set anyways proof of the pudding an all that.

wow that is great news for me, I was lookinig at ordering the 96 set and moding it to work. Well then I guess I will be calling them on monday/tuesday and ordering a set. nobby did you happen to order the stainless braded lines also? I am looking at doing that also but I might wait and do them later in the spring when I have more time and am not doing a emergancy repair like I am now. Let me know how long it takes for you to get them I am curious on shipping times, thanks.
