My 95 caprice with 4.3V8 does the above. It was running fine then had a slight delay when you put the accelerator to the floor; almost like a old 4-barrel carb would do. then the stumbling and stuttering started.
The fuel pump was only showing 5 psi so it was replaced...did not fix the problem.
The distributor was replaced(not by a AC Delco unit); problem still there.(Also replaced dist. harness from a forum vendor;Gary?) Plugs and wires are 3-4 months old; coil was replaced; problem still there.
Cleaned the MAF sensor; problem still there.
I got the Datamaster OBDI link up and have the ECU read-out; only problem is I don't know what I'm looking for. So I'm posting it here hoping someone can decipher it for me. It starts with the car cold; started and reved a few times; run out on the road at a speed that does not trigger the stuttering; after warm-up car was braked to a stop and then accelerator stomped to the floor a few times and you can really see the stumbling; driven back to the house, revved a few times and then shut off.
Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Couple things to look for, what is your fuel pressure now? Did you change the fuel filter? Is the fuel pressure regulator ok or is it letting the gas dump back to the tank through the return line? Check the wiring to the coil, i have seen some of these wires get brittle and break off making an intermitten contact. Vehicle would run fine then begin stumbling or just quit. I found the best way to check this is start the engine and wiggle the wire harness in various locations.

Is this that oddball V-8 like the LT1 with the Dist behind the water pump? Are you sure you dont have a leaky water pump misting water on the Dist cap causing your misfire?

Yes, this is the oddball LT1 configuration (actually L99, known as the "baby"). It's a newer water pump with(obviously) new gaskets and no weeping present.
Fuel pressure is still around 43 psi and filter was changed with pump replacement. Where is the regulator?
