1993, equipped with Borgeson half shaft. Steering Column pop/crack noise when turning hard or passing the center position like when turning the wheels with the engine off or engine running I get a pretty good pop I can feel. Noise may be from the bottom of the column, but, it is loud and clear from standing next to the truck in the garage. Some slop in the bottom of the column, but, appears to be normal.

Maybe when the horn brush and ring was "eaten" I missed some debris. Otherwise I suspect bearings and maybe the tilt assembly.

Do I just junkyard the steering column or is it easy to get to the tilt bearings/joints, etc?

There ain't much on these trucks you didn't manage to break eh,..ain't it?
Mebbe you should drive a tank!...
On second thought,..mebbe not:hihi:

This old truck wants to retire. It has 1/4 million extremely hard miles and is 22 years old. Let alone the number of things it flattened in combat...
