starter rebulid kits

OK guys hopefully someone will know. I need a good rebuild kit for a delco 27mt starter. aka old school 6.2 DD version. I keep melting the brush lead wires with the china crap.:mad2: Canadian dealers would be a great thing(no duty to deal with)

Don't know of any kits but any good starter repair shop should have or can get parts.

ironically that's who fixed the wires last time. the newer ones were a lighter gauge than factory version. I'm trying to find the heavy set.

Well you did notice I said good repair shop. I would find a good shop and order heavy duty parts. Also you could upgrade to the gear reduction starter.

I've had the GR starters before. those suckers are way to easy to cook. don't ask how I now this:mad2:

Do you have federated parts stores up there Dan? I picked up a new starter with lifetime for $140, had it 4 years no problems. forget the brand though and cant find anything on there site
