I take my dually on bad washboard/gravel roads and when I get in them bumps it will stall out. I mash the throttle to the floor and it starts again. All my dash lights come on but no codes. Ill admit I am going to fast for the conditions some times but it never use to do this, any ideas as whats coming lose/going to brake?

Must be a ground or fuse vibrating loose.

Double check all grounds and fuses, especially the block - frame, cab-fram ground straps that ride by the downpipe and known to fail. Caused my stall recently.

Unplug inspect and re-install main wire harness's to PCM.

FWIW, the fuel pedal thing would restart me on 60% of my stalls caused from rear block-frame strap coorosion.

Being the 2nd time i replaced this strap and went threw the stall, I decided to reroute the grounds away from hot exhaust and add extra Block/Ground/Neg battery on both sides,

I have a ton of extra dryer/range cords, so I used 2/3 of the wires together. That bolt in the front wheel well holds a brake line in place, so it was easy access and use, unlike that damn top of frame spot. No stall since.

Thanks Matt, Ill check the grounds. Its been a few years anyway

Yeah, the grounds on the back of the passenger side engine seem pretty weak to me, I snapped one off real easy by accident. I had one on an intake bolt, second to last, and one on an engine coolant block off plate bolt (I guess thats what it is) behind the last intake port. Both were pretty brittle.

That or your PMD harness may be rubbing on something, shorting out.

I removed mine off the coolant blockoff plate bolt, as one was underneath the bolt, and that is a water breach. I cut it to ensure clean and free, and installed it on the 2nd back intake bolt. I believe it was the 2 twisted together wires.

NOt only is that ground strap tough to find, but it fails again as it basically rides on the downpipe. I'm happy with my re-routing up front frame. They'll never burn up, and easy to access/clean.

It all started by accedent as the frame threads inside the frame seemed to have stripped out when I removed the bolt to re-attach the ground strap there, so i seeked out another pre-fabbed spot to use. Works great. As I mentioned no stall since. The Extra neg-frame on both sides was just because I had extra terminal ends i bought... I coated everything with dielectric grease, then coated the tops wtih batt terminal protector.
