Anyone know where we can get some stainless steel lug nuts? I am tired of buying new nuts do to salt rusting them. My nut are rusting.):h

not sure... but IIRC are we not supposed to mix stainless with aluminum?

I guess you could put anti seize on it or something... who knows?

Mixing those two is NOT a good idea. When we are building the Fire Rescue trucks and those two come to gether we have to put a barrier tape between them. THey also get a grease to keep the electrolisis (sp) from happening. The stainless will eat the aluminum up over time.

The softer metal will corrode 1st. Like putting a zinc piece on a boat for the electrolosis. The zinc corrodes before anything else does. In this case, the rims would probably go 1st before the stainless lug nuts.

The best lug nuts I have ever used were McGaurd. I had them on my last truck and they survived six New England winters. The chrome even took the hammering of an impact gun without chipping. At one time they had a lifetime guarantee.

It might be the brand CTchevy is talking about but I know there are good ones out there. They cost more but last long. I don't know what kind mine are but they are holding up ok to the impact gun. Now winters with those wheels/lugs though.
