Dumb question for any of you guys that are online... 97 c 3500 2 wheel drive... It has the cone bearings in the front rotors.... What's the recommended torque for the nut...

After packing bearings, run the nut down real tight while spinning the wheel both directions. Back off the nut until it is loose then run down the nut to finger tight, if it need to be turned to align the cotter key hole then back it off just enough so the cotter key slips on through.
If You grab the top of the tire and push inwards, pull outwards and have a very slight amount of slack, that is okay, nut can be adjusted until there is no slack in the bearing then loosened slightly until slack is barely felt.
If bearing is adjusted too tight, a set of burned bearings may be the results.
