So where dos the factory put the sensor?

So where does the factory put the transmission temp sending unit? I thought I read there was a port with a plug in it somewhere on the trans you can't see where they would put it normally. Help please...
 
4L60E it is part of the hydraulic switch that tells the PCM what hgear the trans is actually in(the ALLISON is the same way I believe). The 4L80E puts the temp sensor into the internal trans harness, looks like a diode in the harness.

I believe it's the 4L80E. I've looked once before and then forgot. One of those "Oh, okay. then flush" moments. Isn't there a way of telling by looking at the VIN code? Sorry for being unprepaired when asking this.

If it is for the suburban in your sig you have a 4L80E.

All auto 6.5TD's have the 4L80E. :thumbsup:
