Went in for smog check with stock turbo, vac pump, exhaust on. I had the Heath tuned PCM on but it was too smokey, so I installed a stock PCM before taking it in. Unfortunately, I got a P0238 Code: Turbocharger Boost Sensor "A" Circuit High. If I fix that, it passes. Need some help on this.

Two options get your stock pcm reflashed or use a boost fooler. Boost fooler is some in line resistors IIRC

Why can't I get the boost sensor to work properly? Is this the plastic vacuum lines connecting to the wastegate solenoid?

This is CA where faking it is not a good thing. I need better answers.

It's all stock for the smog check. Vacuum pump, wastegate solenoid, etc. The vacuum lines are shot. Piece broke off the end of the orange line and I just stuffed it into the rubber hose.

I will try to clamp the vac lines. Fall back is I stick the Heath PCM back in which has the boost defeat. He’s signed off on the smog check except for this code ;-)

I had a heck of a time with a P0236 code.
I cleaned every terminal under the hood using a dental file for the female ends and an old points file for the male ends.
During the process of diagnosing the problem the vacuum pump took a dump, then went through three NAPA boost control solenoids then took the third one back and got a refund, got an AC Delco from Rock Auto and have not since had the code pop back up.
I also bought a BWD boost control solenoid and it seems they work as good as the AC Delco.
I`ll see if I can find the threads.
One helpful hint if You decide to clean the 479 terminals at the back of the engine, lay a 4X4block on each battery, lay a plank across the 4X4s and lay down to do the job much more comfortable than hanging over the engine. LOL

So a new day, start checking connections and the plug to the boost sensor was not connected. Duh. Cleared the code. Drove it around about 20 miles. Wastegate working properly per the boost gauge and no code. So It’s ready to finish smog. Unfortunately, I lose a day to put it back together.

So I'll use my free day to hit the boneyard. 40% off sale through the 1st. Need a bezel for the '94 and they have a '99 K2500 Suburban I'll be looking to harvest lower control arms from.

Check that. The boneyard would not let me in with the exposed open toes on my leg with the cast. The cast comes off Tuesday, but I am going to try to convince the wifey to cut it off with a Dremel.

Well that just really sucks.

If you are still headed there and see a K47 airbox, I am on the hunt for the little funky tube that connects the box to the fender. If you manage to score one, PM me :)

Oh, and glad the code-fix was an easy correction to a self-inflicted wound ;)

Wife talked me out of cutting the cast off. It comes off tomorrow. I have walked on it so much that the foot bed or sole of the cast is all broken up, but the ankle is pretty much pain free. I will hit it up next weekend.

So here's the lay of the land when it comes to the pick a part boneyards in SoCal. We have 23 million people here producing a near endless supply of wrecks. I can monitor their car inventory online. We also have a massive hispanic population, many of who are illegal. They descend on wrecking yards like flies on shit. So you gotta be prompt to get the choice stuff. I have never seen a K47 airbox, let alone the snorkel which I also need for my back up K47 box. The other parts I'm looking for should be easy to find.

Unfortunately, they still have me in a walking boot. I put away the '99 Suburban and will get to replacing ATT turbo and exhaust in a week or two. Can't do it right now in this boot and I'm back to work.
