I've been battling electrolysis lately and suddenly I have a new symptom to my starting problem. It is cranking slowly. My first thoughts were that I heard how the elect. will get worse each time so is it now draining the battery? Otherwise I'm thinking Battery cable to the starter. anyone know something??

A few things just thrown out.
Starter may be bad.
Grounds on battery cables.
All connections.
Bats in good condition?
Alt keeping bats charged?
Get new cables from Bruce.

In stock form there should be small bushing between the positive cables on the passenger side battery, this bushing can get lost over time but is required to make a solid contact between the cables.

I prefer to replace the cable ends in that area with copper ends soldered on the cables and then use a 3/8 bolt with a nut to fasten them to the battery.
Screw the bolt through the cables into the battery with your fingers until it bottoms, then while holding the head of the bolt still with a wrench tighten the nut down on the cable ends with another wrench until satisfied.

i make my own battery cables from welding leads, tons of copper, replace one to starter and the one that crosses over, grounds aren't so important, size wise, its the cranking power you want. but i also ran across a bad starter worked great on bench but under load slow down here's what puzzled me put jumper cables on rig and was enough to crank, the extra current was enough to make the laggin starter function went weeks like that till i replaced starter and never had problem
