After the first start of the day.........every other start is a slow crank......so I key Off, wait 1 min for starter cool down and repeat, sometimes I get normal crank and sometimes 2 or 3 more slow cranks untill she pops.

Anyone ever have this problem?.......seems like hot weather is not helping

Thanks,
Louis

poor gnds & hot starter, slowing things down, what does bat cable itself look likem ends can be fine but if corroded under the insulation you are losing cranking juice and slowing starter, mite be worth it to pull starter and have it load tested if you don't find any cable or gnd issues. Batts are good??? hot weather kills their oomph just like cold weather, IMO everybody with a 6.5 needs a load cell tester harbor freight has them for cheap http://search.harborfreight.com/cpi...ge=1&resultsPerPage=10&resultsPerPageBottom=0

I've got a 100 amp one been looking at the 500 amp carbon pile one possibly

New batts 2weeks old, Both + cables are new........I know, grounds... guess I just needed to hear it, Why are they the biggest pain in the arse? Even Flat tires have to do w/ the GROUND on these rigs. and why is the first start OK? the grounds arn't any better when the're cold? I know, Go buy a new wire brush!

Cold junction ??? better clamping when cold vs after current flow has heated up the wire increasing resistance to tron flow, I'm not really into trons, but how many slow starters and other tron issues/mystery ailments have we "cured" by cleaning grounds. more we have puters coming to the party, more cleaner them trons paths gotta be, used to be just 1 gnd to the batt, now just about each subsystem has it's own path to gnd requirement. how about starter to block bonding, is there a lot of grease on starter so you aren't getting good gnd there, or + terminal at the starter itself a little loose?
