Side stripe sticker decals for 1994 chevy silverado front fenders (silver/burgundy)??

Hi all!

My truck has at some point had its front fenders replaced due to rust, and the new ones were mounted as they were: Matte black base coat. I just recently got around to dealing with the color issue and had the fenders repainted using simple spray cans (matches the original color sort of half good, but good enough for me seeing as it cost me next to nothing and looks better than before), but the large silver area looks sort of empty compared to the rest of the truck due to the lack of stripes. Long story short: Is there anyone who knows if I can find replacement sticker decals of the original side stripes for my 1994 silver burgundy chevy silverado truck?

This is very much a quick and simple job done by a complete amateur with no budget, so please don't hate me for it ;D

As you can see, the colors don't really match very well at all (they are both a deep red sort of burgundy and a light silver, but that's about as far as similarities go). What I'm after is the original black and grey/faded stripes, just under and above the burgundy fields on the doors and sides. I think it would look more uniform and help with making the color mismatching less obvious if the front fenders had them as well. Not really crucial and I don't want to spend a lot on getting them (I might just as well paint them by hand if I can be bothered even to do that much), but if anyone knows of a simple and cheap way of getting these stickers I would very much like to know about it :)

Have tried searching ebay and such for them but no luck as of yet. English isn't my first language and I could simply be searching for the wrong keywords. Any and all help would be much appreciated!

Regards,
Anton.

Go to your local vinyl print/sign shop and show them what you need.

Thanks for the tip, I'll try that! Custom vinyl decal sounds expensive though... But there are no regular stock original stickers to be bought anywhere then?
Cheers,
Anton.

Vinyl should be cheap. Your truck looks like a dealer add on or custom work done later.

I hope you're right, however this is Sweden and things are far more costly than they would be in the USA... Which is why I had hoped to be able to order some simple stickers from an overseas firm and have them posted here. Interesting, I always assumed it to be completely original... I do know it is an import, originally from central europe somewhere. Perhaps it was made specifically for that market? I'll have to check the european ebay sites, maybe they have these stickers... Thanks for the info!

The pics you provided arent very good so correct me if needed. You just need the black striped part on the fender? You could even mask it off and spray bomb it too. Or contact a USA shop with measurments and better pics. One more thing just buy a rold of something close to the width of one stripe then lay out as many as you need individual stripes.

Those look to be printed graphics, therefore a roll of just "Black vinyl" wouldn't work.. You have to print to match.

I know, sorry. They are the only ones I had. I sort of assumed the graphics were standard and people would recognize them even from pics this bad if you know what I mean.
The ones I'm after are the graphics on the grey areas on the doors and the sides of the truck bed, the black and grey striped bits just above and below the burgundy fields. The lower ones (above the 1500 logo on the right pic) are sort of perforated and consist of lots of tiny little specks (which provides a semi see-through/fading look), so a solid black or grey vinyl wouldn't work... The top ones are solid grey and black stripes (the ones you can hardly see on the left pic, just under the burgundy field), so there the vinyl might work. They are however two-tone stripes, so it'll be a bit more of a hassle...

I had hoped/thought that this would be a standard sticker which would be readily available, I'm surprised that someone has bothered to add non-standard graphics... If it's this hard to replicate the look, I don't know if I will even bother. Seems to be a lot of work for such a small detail. Ideally, I had hoped to find sheets of readily prepared stickers spaced up and ready to just remove the cover on the sticky side and slab the on.

I think the masking/spraying option might be best, that way I can just make sure not to cover the fields up entirely achieving the same semi-transparent look needed to make it uniform. For the solid stripes up top, I might just pinstripe it using black and grey laquer.

Thanks for the info and tips, I appreciate it!

Yep, right you are... This suddenly became a lot more complicated than I had thought it to be. Oh well, I'll see if I can solve it somehow.

Cheers

Bushido,
Jeff is our TTS print/graphics guy and has done alot of work here. Maybe he's the one to get your quote from.

Thank you, much appreciated :)

Jeff, have you ever seen this sort of print before? Is a specialized aftermarket vendor additive or is it completely custom work do you think? You wouldn't happen to have an idea of an estimated price for these sorts of graphics if one were to order new decals?

Cheers

Bushido,

I don't deal with any printed graphics, or at least I don't have that type of machine. Since the originals are going to be somewhat faded, I would recommend ordering all new and started over again. It would be hard to match what you have, especially after the years of use already.

x2 i ran into that problem on a truck I bought once that had custom stripping (not anything close to yours). I just peeled the old off and did a couple simple pin stripes in 2 different thicknesses that flowed with the body lines to make it all flow together.

Ah, I understand... Thanks very much for the advice. Seems like the simplest option is to start all over again, so I might just see if I've got any old paint lying around that might work for simple pinstriping. Either that or I'll just peel the old stripes off and go for a uniform simplicity look.

Thanks fpor the input guys, I appreciate it! :)
