Strange thing I recently noticed with my Burb. In park when I blip quickly to 2-3 k it will shudder for a second, then a slight increase in the rev and then settle down. It all happens within a second or 2.

I am thinking there is some restriction or fuel is not being burnt correctly.

What do you think ? Is it serious? What would cause this ??

Thanks

TG

PMD was replaced 2 weeks ago, it was relocated to GM specifications which I believe it to be right hand front corner

Now that I am not sure of. When I bought the Burb in Dec, I assumed the injectors where fine, since it was not belching out any black smoke. I was planning on getting some Heath upgrades this spring, ECU, turbo back exhaust, cross pipe, additional gauges, I guess I should include a set of injectors..

Thank you

What kind of Burb do you have? Could be injectors, could be a worn IP.

And are you saying the PMD was replaced onto the IP, or is it remote mounted? Perhaps the shudder is because the timing was never set right and its retarded a bit much, or your LP may not be working, having you tested fuel pressure? The shudder could be from the IP's OS not being set correctly, like an Optic Bump or rebuilder that didnt set it correctly.

The PMD was remote located , the IP is original. The Burb is a 97 with about 160k miles (250k kilometers) . Though I did not have the shudder before the PMD was changed.

Try the connectors on the pmd extension, a lot of poor extensions out there.

Did you not have the shudder before the PMD or just never noticed it? 160K miles on an IP is a bit unheard, you sure its original, or just that you have not changed it? I would not assume its right no matter where it came from or who installed it prior to you getting it. It would be best to get ahold of a scanner to check idle fuel rates, and to run the electronic timing procedure to make sure it is currently set correctly. If you have a good relationship with a mechanic maybe they will run the 5 minute check. But if timing is off when you run TDCO Learn then have to move the IP.

As far as I can tell my IP is original with 355,000 km's, it's a 5288. There is no record of a replacement with a vin check and I have owned the truck since 05.
