Well I just got my truck a couple of months back, is it worth putting in some sort of internal shift enhancer like the bully dog one. I plan on picking up an edge programmer or the banks six gun not quite sure yet, everyone has personal preference on that. So any thoughts on the shift enhancer?

Don't waste your money on the Bullydog Shift Enhancer. It's been proven to not be worth a crap.

To make your transmission hold up to the Edge, your going to have get a full rebuild kit such as the Suncoat stage 3 or 4.

Suncoast III is around ~$2200 plus installation.

My $.02. :)

I realize it will be a snowball effect after all lifting my jeep was the same. I was going togo witht he edge because at it's max that is what i'm probably going to be all i want. I'll look into a full rebuild trans when the time comes for that. For now it will be my hauler and work truck. So if I stumble into one of those shift enhancers for 50 bucks it's not worth the time and effort then.

You can make your tranny last a while, (don't ask me how I know :D).

When you do use the Edge, be easy on the 4---> 5 shift and keep a "sane" right foot, and you should be ok for a while.

i know i shouldn't say this but i probably won't use level 4 and 5 maybe once to try but I will need to get the exhaust done befoer i go to crazy the stock pipe is only so big and only so much will come out of it:D

EGTs will be fine with stock exhaust.

BD shift enhancer will do nothing. No its not worth the cost. $50 is just the kit, plus all of the fluid and the filter which adds up fast.

If it has a 6spd you can do a transgo jr

I just figured if it would be worth it i would do it while I change the fluid in it. The car lot I got it from couldnèt tell me if it was ever done. It should have been done at least once it has 210000 KMS on it. They told me the engine oil needed to be changed in 2000 KMS but i did it and the the oil wasn't the dark but i think it should have been changed sooner. I'm just want to make sure I get longevity out of the truck and the way to do that is start with the basics. I almost forgot it is not just the price of the oil and filter it would be the pan gasket also here in canada they want 89 bucks for a filter and gasket meanwhile I grabed a new spin on and it was 18 bucks.

you dont need the pan gasket, you can reuse them over and over until they look like they are in poor shape.

Well I ended up getting the shift enhancer a while back for next to nothing and I figured for shits and giggles i would put it in. But then today happened. I picked up all the fluid and stuff i would need yesterday to slap it on in there.and then today after i ws done a job i was going to do the service and putt it in as well..... that is now not going to happen or if I do I will have the only labrador/ bully dog kit in exisitance. How you ask do I get that notion well..... I came home on break to check on something to only find the box in shreads along with a couple of springs and a drill bit. I guesst the springs were to hard to chew and the bit was too sharp. Now i don't have either plunger they are I believ in my stupid 7 mth old puppies stomach. I have no idea how the hell he even got the box off of my desk, so now in the next day or too i will have to see if it passed along with the instructions and the rest of the box. So i guess i will have to decide wether or not to put it in it's a good thing i didn't pay a lot for it:D

Well it has been like a week or so since I thought he ate it. i went to a derby today and when I got home the dog was happy to see me ran around for a bit then he brought it to me the missing piece. I'm so glad he didn't eat it since it would have been a pretty heafty vet bill if it needed to be dug out of him.
