Hey guys ,pardon me for my bad spelling.
I`ve been followed you for several years and learned a lot from you.

I have an 99 Tahoe 6.5td with ATT- Turbo .
Now I`ve got some problems with the ses light and hope some of you can help me in the right direction.
The Engine runs perfect.
I have tried several ecm`s that i have and get codes on all.
On the Heat E-Torqe ecm - P1653 EGR Vent Solenoid Control Circuit
and P1655 EGR Solenoid Control Circuit

On the Att-Kojo tune ecm - P1656 Wastegate Solenoid Control Circuit

The code`s pops up everery time i start the engine , but when it`s deleted it stays off when running .
If i restart the engine before a minute ore so the the code`s does not appear.
When I start up the engine after it has stood still for a few minutes or longer the code reappears.
do you guys think there som shortning problem in the cables ?
Is it because i did remove the vacum relays ? and if is it possible to wire inn som resistor`s to "fool" the ecm to think it`s plugged inn.
It sems that it has something to do with vacum realys for the egr(that i have removed) . But that's what I do not understand, bacause all the ecm`s have deleted egr it in programming.

Thanks in advance

A Tahoe should be a "s" engine, also note the plural, "vacuum relays".
I left my vacuum solenoid plugged in on a "f" engine, I seem to remember that it was the correct thing to do.
I would check with Kojo, and would clean all the grounds as well.

Welcome to TTS

If the codes started at the *exact* time the EGR was removed, then agree that it looks like a cause-and-effect relationship with the EGR and the code.

Agree with the others about checking with Kojo about the tune. In stating that, I have recently noticed that E-mail responses from Kojo are taking a *long* time, so cannot tell whether he is still supporting the 6.5 community or just not responding to E-mail.

Thanks for all the reply`s,
I have come to the same conclusion as you .
I 've tried to think back in time when I removed the vacum "realays", and i am
pretty sure that the SES light did pop up the next day.

So i have ordred used ones from the lokal junkyard .

Thanks for all your help .

When I spoke with Heath, he told me that the vacuum solenoids have to stay plugged in even though they aren't functional anymore. I removed mine from the bracket on the engine and they just hangout on the main loom now.
Same here. Heath Tune, let 'em hang out. Been doing that for several years now. Glad you got it fixed.
