Are the older GM Service manuals still accurate for the later GEP engines? In particular for re-assembly for having accurate torque specs. on rod bolts, bearing clearances, etc.? This is in regards to the engine I have now which appears to be a 2011 model.

I did see those listed but was hoping to verify against an actual manual of some sort. If those have been verified, then I'll run with it.

Military Engine Repair Manual - 6.2 L and 6.5 L Diesels

As supplied by member "Just a Number". This manual covers many aspects of repair and maintenance on the GM 6.2/6.5 Diesel Engine. Please Note: Please note errors in the manual for example a 6.5 bore is over 4" and a 6.2 is under 4" however the manual gets the 6.2 and 6.5 measurements mixed up...

I wonder how many errors are present aside from bore. Is that all that was found to be in error or switched?

Is there a later version of a manual that a guy should be using when putting an engine together? This latest one I referenced is a 1996 version. Did any torque specs. change once GEP took over production in the early 2000s?
