Alright guys I experienced some serious problems today. I've been driving my truck everyday for about the last two weeks. It died out on once driving down the road just crusing at 55mph. Then a couple days later I pulled into a parking space and had it idling and it just died out. Both times it started right back up. Then on black friday I went to leave the mall towards the end of the day, it had been running fine all day, it wouldn't start. I sat there for about 5mins trying it a min and it finally fired up. Well today when I left work I was driving down the highway and it all of a sudden died but fired right back up. then it did the same thing 2miles down the road. When I got where I was going, about 10miles farther, I noticed there was smoke coming from under the hood. Upon opening the hood I saw coolant was all over the firewall and dripping onto the down pipe but I couldn't find where the coolant was coming from. When I went to leave there the truck wouldn't start. I looked around under the hood for a bit and found the AUX A fuse was blown, I swapped in a good one and it started right up but then died again and then fired right back up. I left there to go get water and with in half a mile it die three more times. I got water, filled up the coolant tank and drove the rest of the way home without any problems. When I got home I popped the hood with it running and I could still see the smoke coming off the downpipe but I couldn't pinpoint the exact spot the leak was coming from. I don't know what to do here guys. I've only had the truck about 2 months and I'm scared shitless that its gonna blow the motor and leave me walking.

I think you have 2 problems unrelated.

The stalling is most likely the pmd. Or possibly fuel supply.

The coolant is most likely a leak in the line from the coolant crossover to the heater core, the moisture could be why the fuse blew.

Normal to have oil in the CDR.

ok, I've been thinking the pmd was going bad but when it all hit me at once today it scared the shit out of me. I'm planning on driving it to work in the morning and putting it on a lift to see if I can find the leak.

every 6.5er with a DS-4 pump needs a spare pmd

Fixed it for yeah. Sounds like a PMD to me for teh stalling, as for teh coolant you need to first check your cap and make sure it is still good. Also check your heater lines and make sure they aren't spraying onto the downpipe.

Had a leak like that, turned out to be a freeze plug had a hole rusted in it. Thats a PITA job, if it turns out to be freeze plugs let me know and I'll try to discribe how to remove them.

Sounds just like a PMD also. As Leo said.

Turned out to be a coolant hose melted to the side of the turbo so no bigdeal there. I gotta get a new pmd and put it in.
