should I even bother asking or just post a WTB in the For Sale section or check ebay ?

the passenger seat shoulder belt tensioner is not working anymore.
(read: SHE broke it!)
I cut the plastic around it open (NO I DID NOT HAVE A TORX in the middle of the NM desert ) and zip tied the locking part at the corresponding lenght so she would not be able to move but be safe.

Assuming that taking these little things apart is a PITB, can anyone tell me where i can get one at moderate cost or does anyone have a fitting one laying around somewhere ?

can anyone tell me at least what this is exactly called so i can search ebay ? :thumbsup:

Your best bet is going to be picking up a torx bit and hitting a junk yard for a seat belt assembly. Check you PM's

next thing is it of course must come from an absolute never ever smoked in vehicle.
what might the chances be of finding that in a junk yard ?
hmm - funnily enough i found a brandnew one on ebay but on sale from a guy who sports a tattoo as an avatar for a business called american bad ass motors LOL

because they don't want to assume liability if they malfunction.

When I swapped the seats out in my old mustang, I used a 3/8ths allen that fit the huge torx bolt perfectly, Not sure if its same size or not, but give your allen set a try, one may fit just right in the right places to grab well

Another trick is bolt into the torx, and vise grips on the bolt making it a wrench, sometimes metric bolt head works better
