I'm having issues with my suburban (Big Girl). I have been on the phone many times with Bill Heath from Heath Diesel. My next step is to get a high end scan tool to set the timing.

Does anyone in the Raleigh, NC area have a scan tool that I could use?

Thank you,
Todd

If someone near you had one to borrow, cool. Get together wrenching is always a good time.

Before you buy a conventional tool, Leroy sells the GMTD software for 160. Laptops are my ch nicer to use than scantools, and keep in mind im the guy who cant figure out the email notice thing or how to resize pictures...

Or just get rid ot the ds4 and set the timing with a wrench like I do

Research car code depends on what lap top you have. Don't think it works with latest Windows. I bought a cheap used laptop with Windows 7 to run it if I remember right. It's powerful but not intuitive. Wish he would update it with antilock brake stuff plus. It's getting a little dated to buy now maybe. At one time I saw a Chinese knock off gm scan tool for not too much money.

What would some one expect to pay for a gm tech 2 scan tool?

Update if u buy a scanner that works.
