New to this site, so if I've started this thread in the wrong spot, I apologize.

I've just completed an SAS on my '97 2500. I'm pretty sure my t-case is the NP243 (she's the push-button electronic shifter).

I've got a '78 Ford Dana 60 in there, and just had a new driveshaft put in. Problem is when I push into 4x4, the light on the button just flashes. I lock the hubs and then I can't free-spin the front drive shaft (of course), but I'm not sure if the t-case is engaged, or if I'm going to damage it.

I'd like to be able to shift in and out of 4HI and 4LO, but right now I'd be happy just to get 4x4 conclusively.

Anyone ever experience a similar problem?

Thanks

Doing sas on my on my 99 burban soon so I am also interested. I would think you would know if its in lo just by gearing and slow exceleration. Idk, Maybe a switch to floor shifter is possible?

Chances are the TCCM is looking for the front axle input from the switch that tells it when it's engaged. It is probably also looking for feedback from the shift motor. I'm just not that familiar with what all the TCCM needs to see to shift to say what all wiring would be neccesary.
