I find myself spending a lot of time in my Class A in the driveway. I got the shore line out to the garage, so everything works but the plumbing.

I just like being out there, Its private and quiet. I can see out into the neighborhood (which I can't do from the house very well) and watch the world go by. I usually pop some popcorn in the microwave, read a book, watch a movie, or just chill, and wind up taking a nap.

Secretly, the wife thinks I'm nuts doing this, but she understand a guy needs to be off on his own every now and then. I have yet to spend the night out in the driveway, but I guess if I piss her off enough, that could be an option...

So anyone else do this?

Tim

We had a motorhome before our travel trailer and during that time I took some college courses for computers. Seeing how we were raising a family, inside the house was way too loud to study (I had a full load). I went out to the motorhome and studied daily for the better part of a year. Nice and quiet...I loved it.

And no, I sure don't think you're crazy...our travel trailer is now sitting next to the garage with the power hooked up. I can go watch a movie at a moments notice. My brother has his fifth wheel next to his garage, and he lets his company stay out there...it's perfect - they have their own space.

My motorhome sits out beside the house, all hooked up like yours.

You aren't crazy...

... we all are.

At least we're not all alone! :D

My 5er stays under a cover on concrete and plugged in anytime we're not using it. I'm in the process of forming and pouring a new slab to move the cover and it'll have full hook-ups anytime it's at home.

Don't hang out in it much during the day and haven't stayed in it overnight at home yet but it's here if I ever get kicked out of the house...LOL

When I have friends and family over they stay in the camper, I have it fully hooked up. For Easter I pulled out the awning and cooked for my lil sis and niece's family. When I have boiling parties my yard isn't that big so instead of it being in the way, I open the awning for shade and camper so no one has to go in and out of the house. Sometimes my daughter and I sleep in it just for the heck of it. My neighbors already think I am nuts so what's new.

You may be nuts, but this doesn't prove it. There is just something peaceful about sitting in your RV, even if it is next to your house. I've done it myself.

I don't have an RV or TT (but I am always looking for a done-up, polished, mid-60s airstream). I do however have a 40" LCD TV with cable and really nice couches in my living room.

Nonetheless, I somehow find myself on weekends or in the evenings out in the detached garage, sitting on a milk crate and watching a 13" tube-TV for hours.

And as Maxwell Smart would say, "and loving it." :D

Nothing wrong with climbing in the RV and taking a cat nap while its sitting in the driveway. Sometimes thats a nice way to get away from the wife and all the noise. I have the camping fever but have not been anywhere this spring. Guess I will do my regular deal and wait til its cold again and hunting season.
