Rusty Nuts!

Got these just over two years ago and they are already flaking off the chrome

Anybody have good long term experience with a set of chrome lug nuts that do *not* rust?

I have some from a 88 Dodge, they have never been polished and are still in good shape.

Ok, let me rephrase the question / goal . . .

Any brand recommendation that I can go out and buy which will last?

But, if the offer is to buy them from you and they will fit on the Burb, am open to negotiation Aside from that, am sure that my neighbors with aged Dodges will not appreciate me 'acquiring' their lug nuts.

Check out Gorilla Lug Nuts. My 2011 F150 had the steel lugs with chrome dummy caps that bulged and rust bled through terribly. I bought a set of Gorilla Lugs and loved them. (They are pricey! But worth it with a Lifetime warranty) Be careful, they do sell some Lugs that aren't Lifetime warrantied.

Was about to ask about them as I saw a couple ads for Gorilla.

Good to know about looking for lifetime versus limited warrantee.

I have resorted to black lug caps (GM) w/double threaded lugs over my Alcoa forged wheels they seal out dirt and water keeping the lug clean and rust free.
The lugs below are what came w/ALCOA

Thought about going the cap route. Am going for a single part solution so it is less down time if I need to pull out the spare.

The caps are but a small issue compared to rust and corrosion IMHO, perhaps 2 more minutes per wheel to remove and replace.
