As most of you know I am building up a diesel K5 Blazer

The top seals, both inner and outer are pretty sad.
Been looking at the stuff on LMC. Is the stuff any good.

It rains here in western Oregon A LOT, I want this rig to stay dry on the inside

Any input on these things would be great.

Thanks guys.

I have heard stories about some stuff like sheetmetal being crap but good to hear that the rubber parts are good stuff.

Keeping a K5 Top leak free is a tough task, especially after removing them.

Unfortunately I want to do a reasonably good paint job that goes beyond masking off the rubber parts.

I want to paint the bed rails as well as the back bulkhead of the cab too.

I got the top off the 84 now and looking over the weatherstriping revealed what was entailed.

Looks like the originals are glued on as well as a few key places with screws.

Thanks again

Thanks for the input on LMC

Right at present I am making my list of goodies that I am going to need to replace.

A client of mine called me up yesterday (fellow whom I got the 84 Blazer back from) and told me that he has a complete set of rubber parts for the doors/windows and such.

He said he has no more use for it and was going to drop them off at my shop for me.

Yesssssssssssss Christmas come early this year.

Was looking at the seals on the top yesterday and they look fairly simple to change out me thinks.

Some 3M weatherstrip glue and a little time is all.

Thanks again

I have heard conflicting stories on sheetmetal. It may very well have been from some other outfit.

Some aftermarket stuff is good and some is not..

Yesterday my friend dropped off the window track liners and the inner and outer glass seals.
