It seems a roller lifter is quiting on my engine. Argh x.x

I found some on the big market place. One of the sellers advertise his lifters are the best, because "These are 0.921" in diameter and are the OEM part with the Large Bronze Axle not like the import parts that use a small steel axle with the needles that break".

Does it make sense to you?

I would have thought that a bronze axle would be weaker than a steel axle with needle bearings ... Though, as I don't really know how is working an hydraulic lifter, I might think wrong...

OEM supplier for GM was MELLINGS for all of the factory roller lifters I have seen. I would avoid the federal mogul ones as I have had quite a few problems with them bleeding down at an idle.

Take it apart, and clean it. Bronze bearings are used on some solid roller lifters, because the needle bearings get destroyed and the roller stops turning. This happened to me on a BBC. With a hydraulic roller , needle bearings are fine because they don't get pounded to death, from lash.
